A government official in India has been suspended for draining a reservoir to retrieve a phone he dropped while taking a selfie. Over 2 million liters of water were pumped out of the Paralkot reservoir over four days.Rajesh Vishwas, the official, claims to have sought permission to drain the water and insists it was from the overflow section and not usable. However, his employer suspended him for misusing his position and wasting water during a time of severe heat.
