First of all, Russian cities has been shelled already, and they have been for as long as it has been possible to hit them with artillery in this war. Shelling a city doesn’t make it disappear. A city will not be burned to the ground due to shelling, unless that shelling is long term and extensive. If Ukraine ups strikes against Russian civilians, Russia will do the same to Ukraine. This is called tit for tat. Is this really a competition you want Ukraine or anyone else to engage in? The result will not be less Russian support for the war, it will be more Russian hatred for Ukrainians, and more Ukrainian hatred for Russians. And of course a whole lot more dead civilians. Why would you want this? You see things can always get worse.

I would argue this is what worse looks like. Marinka has been fought over since 2014, and there is nothing left. I do not recommend attempting to expand the list of cities that looks like this to any additional names if at all possible.
